M.G. Skinner & Associates was founded in 1979 by Michael Skinner. Having worked for several years at a national brokerage firm, Skinner decided to open a company that would focus exclusively on a very particular segment of the business world—income-producing properties. This enabled him to offer an unprecedented level of customized insurance programs to his clients across the nation.
Now, three decades later, M.G. Skinner writes in excess of $35 million in premium volume annually, insuring close to $6 billion worth of income-producing properties, including apartment buildings, offices, mobile home parks, shopping centers, golf courses, hotels, and motels.
The firm is based in Los Angeles, California, with an additional office in Southlake, Texas, and currently employs 20 insurance professionals.
